HOW DO I APPLY FOR SHIP?
The application and more information on how to apply for SHIP is located on the Apply tab on this website.
WHEN DOES THE APPLICATION CYCLE BEGIN AND END?
We typically begin our application cycle almost every quarter. The application is typically open prior to the start of the quarter and due by Friday of Week 1. We do not take applications anytime else.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ACCEPTED INTO SHIP?
There is no set number of acceptances, but we specifically consider the clinic needs, organization projects, and the application pool.
I APPLIED AND WAS NOT ACCEPTED INTO A PREVIOUS CYCLE. MAY I REAPPLY?
Yes! We have had reapplicants successfully go through the process and intern with our organization.
I DO NOT HAVE A CAR. CAN I STILL VOLUNTEER?
Yes, as long as you coordinate your transportation! Rides will not be provided to volunteers, however, there may be other volunteers of the same shift who are able to carpool.
AM I REQUIRED TO VOLUNTEER DURING THE HOLIDAYS AND BREAKS?
No, members are not required to volunteer during these times. Depending on the clinic needs, select weekends will be open and these shifts are optional.
